KCRA Weekend Roundup: Things to do in the Sacramento region for June 2-4
From a county fair to a nationally televised motocross competition, monster truck madness, concerts in parks and on the waterfront, a women’s fitness festival and a Davis Pride festival, there’s a lot happening this weekend.
The weather is warming up in the Valley and there is the chance for showers and a thunderstorm in the Sierra at times. See the forecast.

Hangtown Motocross Classic
The 54th running of the Carson City Hangtown Motocross Classic returns to Rancho Cordova from Friday through Saturday. It’s the oldest race of its kind, and this year expects to attract more than 25,000 spectators and 400 riders. Learn more here.

Concerts in the Park

The Grow Your Own Tahoe City community festival celebrating edible gardening takes place Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the UC Davis TERC Tahoe City Field Station. Learn more here.
Monster Truck Madness
Monster Truck Madness takes place at the Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland on Friday and Saturday. There’s a free pit party featuring monster truck rides from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. ahead of the show’s start at 7 p.m. Learn more here.
Elk Grove Movie Night
A free movie night under the start featuring “The Goonies” takes place Friday at Old Town Plaza starting at 7 p.m.
Sacramento Skateboard Documentary Premieres
The Crest Theater is screening the premiere of “N-Men: The Untold Story,” a skateboarding documentary by Sacramento filmmaker James Sweigert. Friday’s screening is sold out but Saturday’s tickets are available. Learn more here.

The free Manteca Crossroads Watermelon Street Days event takes place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. downtown. It features 100 craft vendors, a car show and children’s activities. Learn more here.

Women’s Fitness Festival
