KCRA Weekend Roundup: Things to do in the Sacramento region for June 2-4
CONGRATULATIONS TO SHARMA TONIGHT, PEOPLE ARE CELEBRATING ALL THAT SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY HAS TO OFFER. IN FACT, RIGHT NOW, PEOPLE ARE OUT AT THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY FAIR AND KCRA THREE’S JOSE HART IS LIVE THERE AT THE FAIR FOR US TONIGHT WITH A LOOK AT WHAT WE CAN EXPECT TO FIND JOSE. HELLO THERE. I AM GOING MERRY GO ROUND, ROUND, ROUND. I MEAN, SOME OF THE BEST PARTS OF THE FAIR SO FAR. OBVIOUSLY NOT JUST THE FERRIS WHEEL, BUT THE FACT THAT THERE’S ABSOLUTELY NO LINES OUT HERE. AND WE’RE TOLD BY ORGANIZERS THAT, YOU KNOW, ALTHOUGH THIS FAIR HASN’T BEEN THEIR BIGGEST ONE, YOU KNOW, THAT DOESN’T MEAN THAT THERE ISN’T SOMETHING OUT THERE FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY. NOW, OF COURSE, THAT MEANS ANYTHING FROM THE RIDES TO THE GAMES. I’VE ALREADY LOST ABOUT $80 TRYING TO GET A LARGE PINK FLAMINGO THAT I UNFORTUNATELY DID NOT WIN. BUT, YOU KNOW, THEY’VE GOT SOME FUN HOUSES, FOOD AND DRINKS ON THE VENDORS. IT’S ONLY DAY ONE OF OPENING, BUT THEY’VE GOT SOME LIVE BANDS AND THEY’VE GOT SOME CLASSIC CARS LINED UP TOMORROW. WE’RE TOLD THAT THERE WILL BE A CAR SHOW AND FOR ALL THE ANIMAL LOVERS OUT THERE, A GOAT SHOW. NOW, AS FAR AS THE MUSIC TODAY, THE THEME IS COUNTRY AND TOMORROW WE WILL BE GETTING THOSE ROCK AND ROLL VIBES. OF COURSE, THERE’S PLENTY OF EXHIBITS, GAMES FOR THE LITTLE ONES AND SOME CLOWNS ALSO FOR THE LITTLE ONES. NOW THE ORGANIZERS SAY THAT THEY’RE HOPING THAT THEY WILL HAVE A BIGGER TURNOUT OVER THE WEEKEND. BUT, YOU KNOW, THIS IS JUST THE START RIGHT NOW. THERE’S NO LARGE CROWDS AND THE STAFF HERE SAY THAT THAT’S THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERYBODY TO BE ABLE TO COME OUT. AND, YOU KNOW, JUST TO WRAP THINGS UP, THIS FAIR IS OPEN EVERY DAY UNTIL SUNDAY. THEY CLOSE AT ABOUT 9 P.M. PLENTY OF FUN THINGS FOR EVERYONE TO DO. FOR NOW, REPORTING LIVE FROM A FERRIS WHEEL IN STOCKTON, JOSIE HART, KCRA THREE NEWS. THAT REALLY DOES LOOK LIKE FUN. WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THE RIDES THAT, YOU KNOW, ARE A LITTLE TOO MUCH, BUT THAT ONE LOOKS LOVELY. I WAS GOING TO SAY THE SAME. I COULD HANDLE THAT ONE. AND PINK FLAMINGO FOR JOSE. FOR CHRIS. SHE’S WITH MIGUEL, THE
