YEAH, GETTING SOME EXERCISE. METEOROLOGIST HEATHER WILDMAN, HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO STICK AROUND? WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT? THIS KIND OF WEATHER FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, WE MAY SEE AN INTRUSION OF A SHOWER OR TWO THROUGH THIS WEEKEND. BUT WE’VE BEEN TELLING YOU FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS, IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, GO AHEAD AND KEEP THEM. IF THOSE PLANS INVOLVE GOING UP TO THE SIERRA, YOU MAY GET A LITTLE BIT OF ACCUMULATING SNOW ON SUNDAY. BUT HERE’S A LIVE LOOK. LIVECOPTER3 RIGHT OVER EL DORADO HILLS THIS AFTERNOON. NOTICE HOW GREEN THE GRASS IS THERE AND YOU’VE GOT A LITTLE BIT OF CLOUD COVER TO SOME HIGH CIRRUS AS WELL. JUST OVERALL, A VERY NICE DAY LIKE WINDS, TEMPERATURES A LITTLE BIT LOWER THAN NORMAL. ONCE AGAIN, WE’RE AT 60 DEGREES RIGHT NOW IN DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO. SOUTH BREEZE AT SEVEN MILES PER HOUR. IN STOCKTON, IT’S 61 DEGREES. THE WIND IS CALM THERE, A MIX OF CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE, VERY SIMILAR CONDITIONS IN MODESTO. IT’S 61 DEGREES WITH A LIGHT EAST SOUTHEASTERLY BREEZE. DEW POINT SITTING RIGHT AROUND 41 DEGREES. SO IT’S VERY COMFORTABLE IF YOU’RE OUT IN THE SUNSHINE, 61 IN FAIRFIELD, JUST SOME SCATTERED HIGH CLOUDS HERE. YOU GOT A COUPLE MORE HOURS OF DAYLIGHT IF YOU WANT TO GET OUTSIDE AND ENJOY IT. UP IN SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, MADE IT TO 40 DEGREES THIS AFTERNOON. WINDS COMING OUT OF THE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST AT NINE MILES PER HOUR. AGAIN, THINGS WILL CHANGE SUBTLY THROUGH THIS WEEKEND. WE’LL INCREASE SOME CLOUD COVER SATURDAY, ESPECIALLY INTO SUNDAY. BUT SATELLITE AND RADAR RIGHT NOW, ABOUT AS QUIET AS CAN BE. LET’S WALK THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS HERE. OVERALL, THE STORM TRACK STAYS OFF TO OUR NORTH AND TO OUR EAST. BUT THESE SYSTEMS WILL PASS JUST CLOSE ENOUGH TO INCREASE THE CLOUD COVER HERE SATURDAY. YOU CAN SEE SOME SHOWERS, MAINLY TO THE NORTH OF SACRAMENTO. I THINK WE IN THE VALLEY, WE STAY DRY, ESPECIALLY INTO THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY AS WE GO INTO SUNDAY, THIS SYSTEM DROPS IN AGAIN, STAYS WELL OFF TO OUR NORTH, BUT IT HAS A LITTLE BIT MORE MOISTURE WITH IT. SO WE SEE AN INCREASED CHANCE FOR SOME SHOWERS INTO THE FOOTHILLS AND A LITTLE BIT OF ACCUMULATING SNOW UP ABOVE 5000 FEET INTO THE SIERRA AS WE GET INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. THE SYSTEM DIGS A LITTLE BIT FARTHER TO THE SOUTH. ONCE AGAIN, WE’RE SHOWERY, NOT A WHOLE LOT OF PRECIPITATION, BUT IN GENERAL, JUST UNSETTLED MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. ANOTHER THING YOU’RE GOING TO NOTICE GOING INTO THE EARLY PART OF NEXT WEEK, IT’S GOING TO BE QUITE A BIT COOLER. BUT TEMPERATURES THIS WEEKEND IN THE VALLEY, MID-SIXTIES ON SATURDAY, SLIGHTLY COOLER ON SUNDAY INTO THE LOWER SIXTIES. YOU CAN EXPECT UPPER FIFTIES IN THE FOOTHILLS AND THE SIERRA IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE SKIING OR BOARDING TOMORROW, GREAT CONDITIONS, MAYBE A FEW FLURRIES. WE’LL WATCH FOR THE ACCUMULATING SNOW AS WE GET INTO SUNDAY. BUT THERE WE’RE TALKING INCHES RATHER THAN FEET, PERHAPS ENOUGH FOR SOME CHAIN CONTROLS ABOVE 6000 FEET. BUT OTHERWISE NOT A BIG DEAL IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE GETTING AROUND IN THE SIERRA FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. AS FAR AS THE WINDOWS. YOU’LL NOTICE IT TOMORROW. IT’LL BE COMING ONSHORE. SUSTAINED AT 10 TO 15 MILES PER HOUR TOMORROW AFTERNOON. BUT LOOK AT SUNDAY. HERE’S WHERE WE GET SOME CHANGES FOR THE SIERRA. SUSTAINED WINDS APPROACHING 30 MILES PER HOUR IN THOSE HIGHER ELEVATIONS SPOTS HERE IN THE VALLEY. AGAIN, I THINK WE’RE LARGELY DRY THIS WEEKEND. WE MAY CATCH A QUICK SHOWER ON SUNDAY, BUT THAT WOULD BE ABOUT IT. CHANCES FOR SHOWERS MONDAY AND TUESDAY. BUT EVEN THEN, NO SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION BECAUSE YOU NOTICE THE TEMPERATURES THERE. FIFTY’S AGAIN FOR MONDAY INTO TUESDAY ADVERTISER IN THE LOW SEVENTIES. NOW WE ARE. WELL I MEAN AT LEAST WE’VE GOT SOMETHING ON THE BOARD THAT’S A LITTLE WARMER
