Severe Thunderstorm Warning by NWS
Instruction: For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Target Area: Angelina; Nacogdoches; Sabine; San Augustine. The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for several counties in eastern Texas, including southeastern Nacogdoches, east central Angelina, southern San Augustine, and southwestern Sabine. The warning is in effect until 5:00 PM CST. The storm, which was located 12 miles southeast of Etoile or 16 miles northwest of Ebenezer at 4:13 PM CST, is moving east at a speed of 30 mph. The storm poses a risk of 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail, as indicated by radar. The expected impact includes hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Areas likely to be affected include Pineland, Rosevine, Broaddus, Bronson, McElroy, and Chinaquapin. The maximum hail size is 1 inch and the maximum wind gust is 60 mph, as per radar indications.
