Crawfordsville girls tennis made the trip to take on McCutcheon on Monday and the Athenians were able to come away with a 4-1 win. At one singles Sam Rohr earned a 6-3, 6-0 win, Reagan Cox at two singles a 6-0, 6-0 victory, and Emily Weliver secured a 6-4, 6-0 win at three singles. Alayna Hall and Isla Steward were 7-5, 6-1 winners at one doubles while the lone Athenian loss came at two doubles from Emma Buser and Amy Weliver as they fell in three sets 5-7, 6-4, 4-6.

Kammer ’24 earns Fulbright Scholarship
Wabash College student Hayden Kammer ’24 earned a Fulbright open study/research award to Latvia. Kammer will be based at the Baltic International Academy in Riga, Latvia, with the goal of addressing men’s mental health needs. The curriculum offered will allow him to study in the areas of crisis psychology, conflict resolution, social cognition, and psychological counseling.

Temporary lane closures coming to U.S. 231 in Greencastle
GREENCASTLE — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces temporary lane closures on U.S. 231 in Greencastle. Beginning on or after Friday crews will be closing the southbound lane of U.S. 231 through town between Earp Street and Maple Avenue. This is part of a project that will be addressing road rehabilitation needs between Bloomington Street and North Jackson Street.
