RUSSELL – The TMP-Marian Lady Monarchs track and field team had 26 medal winners, including seven first-place finishers Thursday as they were the runaway winners of the Russell Invitational.
The Monarchs finished with 172 team points. Ellsworth was second with 118 points and Hoisington third with 89 points.
Sophomore Tessa Wentling won the high jump with a height of 4’8”.
TMP claimed five of the top six places in the triple jump. Macara Rohr finished first with a distance of 34’8”, an inch ahead of her teammate Shalee Gottschalk who finished second. Aliya Seib was third, Emma Basgall was fifth and Nevaeh Weigel was sixth.
Gottschalk won the 100-meter hurdles.
Senior Machaela Dickman won both the 1600 and 3200 meters.
The Monarchs 4x100 and 4x800 meter relay teams also earned first place finishes.
In all the Monarchs added five second, six third, two fourth, three fifth and two sixth place finishers on top of the seven first place finishers.

The Monarch boys team had three medal winners and finished with seven points.
Brayden Gilmore was fourth in the discus, Caden Becker sixth in 800 meters and the 4x800 relay finished fifth.
TMP will travel to Ellsworth on Tuesday.
