(KFGO/KNFL) Central Cass and Rugby are on to the semifinals of the State Class B Girls Basketball Tournament at the Minot State Dome.
The Squirrels raced out to a 15-0 lead and routed Bowman County 61-28. Central Cass made its first seven shots of the game. Decontee Smith led all scorers with 22 points, adding six steals and four rebounds. Klaire Cotton added 18 points for CC (21-3).
Jaci Fischer led Bowman County with 12 points.
Rugby shot a blistering 62%, including 18-27 in the second half in a 67-48 victory over Langdon-Edmore-Munich in the second quarterfinal. Joey Wolf was 7-7 from the floor and scored 16 points. Mykell Heidelbaugh also scored 16 for the Panthers (22-2).
Langdon-Edmore-Munich (19-6) had a sixteen-game winning streak snapped. Cora Badding led the Cardinals with 18 points.
