Roswell driver cited for DUI on Ga. 400

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Forsyth County deputies arrested a 33-year-old Roswell man Nov. 30 for driving while under the influence on southbound Ga. 400.

Deputies reported spotting the suspect crossing over into the left and right lanes multiple times approaching Majors Road.

The suspect nearly hit another vehicle in the right lane, and deputies initiated a traffic stop, the report states.

Deputies reported the vehicle did not immediately stop but eventually pulled over near Shiloh Road.

When speaking to the driver, deputies reported smelling an “overwhelming” odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, and his eyes were bloodshot and red.

Deputies conducted field sobriety tests and determined the suspect to be intoxicated, the report states.

While searching the vehicle, deputies reported finding multiple open bottles of Bud Light behind the driver’s seat and more inside the center console that still had liquid inside.

The suspect was charged with misdemeanor DUI alcohol, possession of an open alcohol container, failure to maintain lane and a windshield violation.
