Inyo County Sophomores Explore Future Paths with Multi-Campus College Tour
Inyo County Sophomores Explore Future Paths with Multi-Campus College Tour. Over the first two days of October, 108 students and 12 chaperones from Inyo County journeyed across California for an overnight field trip to explore post-secondary options at Cal State Bakersfield, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and Cuesta Community College. Designed to expose students to higher education and future career opportunities, this excursion marked the conclusion of a series of trips aimed at helping high schoolers make informed decisions about their academic futures. Sunny Ceron, Big Pine Unified School District’s Assistant Principal and TK-12 School Counselor commented, “This opportunity provided our students the ability to explore different educational pathways, experience diverse campus environments, and envision possibilities they may not have otherwise considered. We are grateful for the continued efforts of the Inyo County Office of Education to make experiences like these accessible to our students. Ultimately our hope is that students walk away with a broader perspective of what is possible for their futures and the confidence to pursue those opportunities knowing that where they come from does not limit where they can go.”
