Police: Roseburg man cited due to 'obnoxious amount of trash' surrounding his camp

ROSEBURG, Ore. —
A man was charged with littering within 100 feet of a waterway Saturday after officers investigated a camp located off NW Stewart Parkway, the Roseburg Police Department said in a report..

Officers made contact with a 43-year-old Roseburg man at his camp "due to the obnoxious amount of trash surrounding it," RPD said.
According to police, he is camped approximately thirty feet from the riverbank and his camp is surrounded by unused garbage bags, empty food containers, a sharps container used to dispose of used needles, and other trash.

He was issued a citation and told to clean his camp.
