Around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Roseburg officers responded to what they described as a "suspicious" medical aid call.
According to RPD, the caller identified himself as "Dr. Ashcroft," which is an alias police say 52-year-old Robert James Nager uses. Nager called to report hos mother had fallen and hurt herself.
"The investigation concluded that Robert Nager pushed his 78-year-old mother because he wanted her debit card," RPD said.
