A dog was tased while police officers attempted to make contact with a woman in a trailer, the Roseburg Police Department said in a report.
Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, units visited a woman's travel trailer for City Compliance issues, which was parked in the yard of a residence on SE Giles.
"There were two dogs running around the area and out into the street," RPD said.
According the report, one of the dogs "was fairly aggressive" and lunged at a couple officers.
The woman was inside the trailer but refused to come out, "even after multiple warnings that she needed to come out to retrieve her dogs, or they may get tased," RPD said.
One of the dogs lunged at an officer in an aggressive manner, the report stated, "so it was tased."
Once the woman heard the yelping of the dog, she exited the trailer. She retrieved her dogs and brought them inside the trailer.
A records check revealed there was a county warrant for the woman's arrest, which was confirmed.
She was charged with a Douglas County Probation Violation and a new charge of Dog Leash Law Violation (2 counts).
The woman was issued two citations, one for each loose dog.
She was arrested on her warrant and transported to Douglas County Corrections, where she was lodged.
