Two people are arrested with almost 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine after they try to outrun law enforcement on a motorcycle.

The passenger, Brandy Wright, of Rosebud, was charged Sunday with delivery of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  The driver, Nathan Wilson, of Linn, was charged with resisting arrest, failure to register a motor vehicle, and operating a motorcycle without a proper license.

The incident started Saturday night near Owensville when a Gasconade County deputy attempted to stop Wilson for traffic violations.  But Wilson refused to stop and sped off while Wright allegedly began discarding suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

The chase continued until Wilson attempted to drive through a farm field on Brick Church Road.  Both were taken into custody.  Deputies, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and a K9 conducted an extensive search of Highway P, locating about 46 grams of suspected meth and items consistent with distribution of narcotics.

Wright was initially arrested on four outstanding warrants, while Wilson was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Osage County.
