The Southside Academy Board of Directors announced the hiring of Breona Walker as the new head of school during the school’s first kindergarten graduation.

Walker received a warm reception from the almost 200 people gathered for the occasion. She is a graduate of N.C. Central University and is currently completing her master’s degree in organizational leadership at Chowan University.
