At approximately 1:50 a.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a pedestrian struck.

Montgomery County Police responded to a shooting that occurred on Sunday, March 26, 2023, on Treetop Lane in Silver Spring. According to MCPD, “At approximately 7:20 p.m., Montgomery County Police responded to an apartment building located at 2001 Treetop Lane for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with trauma to the body. Officers provided life saving measures to the victim who was then pronounced dead at the scene.

Miriam Garcia was last seen on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at approximately 6:15 p.m., outside of her residence on Marshall St. in Gaithersburg.

Per Gaithersburg Police: On March 22, 2023 at 2:23 a.m., a Gaithersburg Police Department patrol officer observed a vehicle traveling on S. Frederick Avenue without the vehicle headlights on. A traffic stop was initiated and approached the vehicle, immediately smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The officer requested the driver’s drivers license and vehicle registration card, at which point the driver opened the glove box and inadvertently revealed a handgun.

According to MCPD, “The preliminary investigation has revealed that an adult male pedestrian was struck by two vehicles that were traveling northbound on Columbia Pike, just south of Hillwood Dr. One of the drivers remained at the scene after the collision. The other driver left the scene and reported the collision hours later at a police station.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a two-car collision on Frederick Rd and Plummer Drive in Germantown at approximately 8pm on Sunday night. According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, crash debris was spread out approximately 150 yards following the crash. The fuel tank of one of the vehicles ruptured, but the gas was contained with absorbent with some lanes temporarily blocked. Three people were transported to the hospital, all with non life-threatening injuries.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision on E Randolph Rd, between Stratford Garden Dr & Tourmaline Ct in Fairland on Saturday afternoon. Three individual had to extricated after being trapped in their vehicles and a total of six patients (4 adults/2 teens) were transported for injuries, including one adult with Priority 1 trauma.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the 15900blk of Barnesville Rd in Boyds on Friday night for the report an outside fire. According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, firefighters encountered three buildings (two sheds and a 2-car garage) on fire a half-mile off the road. There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Piringer tweeted, “Power supplied by extension cords/power strips.
