...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...

Wabash River at Covington and Montezuma.

.Rainfall of one inch or more earlier this week is now expected to
take the Wabash River at Covington and Montezuma back into minor
flood briefly over the next couple of days. Crests are likely to be
less than one foot above flood stage in both locations, well below
levels experienced earlier this month.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement should be issued this evening by around 1100 PM
EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.

* WHEN...From this evening to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along
the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of
Montezuma begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 13.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this evening to a crest of 14.8 feet tomorrow evening.
It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

Miami Nation of Indians hosts its annual All Nations Gathering

ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTHI) - Members of a Native American tribe held a Pow Wow in Parke County.

The Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana had its All Nations Gathering on its land in Rockville. The tribe views this as a weekend of fellowship and sharing culture with all people.  

There was a drum circle and dancing that anyone could be a part of. Tribe members believe the drum is the heartbeat of our nation.  

Organizers say that this is just one way to show inclusion and remembrance.

“We want to teach the public and fellowship with the people, the citizens of Indiana. We want to be able to make a difference in our culture so it doesn't get lost. I think that's the most important thing," said Chief Brian Buchanan.

Tribe members also look forward to this event to encourage representation.
