    Jonathan Matos, Rockledge

FLORIDA TODAY Baseball Player of the Year

The kind of offense that Jonathan Matos provided to Rockledge High baseball in 2024 was something the program hadn't had in a few years.

He led the team in batting average, doubles, home runs, on-base percentage, hits, runs scored, runs batted in and slugging percentage, all with solid or more-than-solid numbers.

He is the FLORIDA TODAY Baseball Player of the Year for the 2024 season.

Matos also was key at catcher to the success the Raiders pitching staff that, as a group, dominated Brevard County on the way to a 26-3 year.
