Warriors Take League Opener Against Bobcats

Getting off to a bit of a slow start, the Rochester softball team found its groove late, led by Layna Demers strong day, in a 11-4 win over Aberdeen at home Friday afternoon. 

Demers went 2 for 2 with a run scored, three RBIs, and a home run in a strong day for the Rochester offense. She also pitched a complete game with just three of the four runs earned on seven hits with 10 punchouts. 

Jessa Lenzi continued her strong start to the season, going 2 for 3 with three runs scored, two RBIs, and two walks. Roisin Stull went 3 for 4 with two runs scored, as well. 

The Warriors take on Shelton next on Monday at home in another league contest.
