Arrest made for shooting death in Van Auker Street high rise

Rochester, N.Y. — Police have made an arrest for the shooting death of a man in a high rise on Van Auker Street last month.

They've charged Joshua Rodriguez, 22, of Rochester, with the death of 22-year-old Roje Lowry, who was shot and killed May 26 on the ninth floor of the high rise at 150 Van Auker Street.

Police said Lowry and Rodriguez knew each other but are not commenting on a motive.
Lowry did not live in the building, but police said relatives of his do.
Rodriguez is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
He was taken into custody early Tuesday morning and pleaded not guilty.
