Robstown's Anscombe voted Sames Caller-Times Athlete of the Week

Robstown girls track and field athlete Trinity Anscombe was voted the Sames Caller-Times Athlete of the Week.

Anscombe received 12,041 of the 25,549 votes cast, which was 47.13% of all votes.

Anscombe won four individual medals at the Coastal Bend Coaches Association Meet of Champions last week, capturing gold in the 100, 200 and girls long jump and taking third in the triple jump.

Students can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport.

Nominations are due each Monday by 5 p.m. and can be submitted through email at ctsports@caller.com, by messaging the Caller-Times through its Facebook page, or on Twitter @CallerSports.
