Lake Lewisville Recovery: 20-year-old's Body Found

A dive team recovered the body of a 20-year-old man at Lake Lewisville, on Friday afternoon, September 20, 2024, according to the Little Elm Fire Department.

Texas Game Wardens in Denton County and the Lewisville Fire Department dive team were called to search for a "possible drowning victim" in the area of Little Elm Beach, 704 W. Eldorado Parkway.

Texas Game Wardens said the man was last noticed swimming between the shoreline and swim zone buoys around the volleyball courts.

Lewisville FD’s Dive Team and Texas Game Wardens helped in finding the body of the 20-year-old man, which was retrieved nearly four hours afterward. The body was identified as Isaiah Ezekiel Behnke of Slidell Louisiana.

The incident stays under inquiry.
