One person taken to hospital after being hit with vehicle in NW Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - UPDATE: A pedestrian was taken to a hospital after a car accident Saturday night on Hershberger Rd. NW. Roanoke Police say the incident is part of an ongoing investigation, and that they are waiting to hear on the condition of the person who was hit.

ORIGINAL STORY: First responders, including Roanoke Police, responded to the corner of Hershberger Rd. NW and Ordway Dr. NW Saturday evening.

WDBJ7 was at the site that Roanoke Police deemed an active crime scene at the time.

Police have not yet responded for requests regarding the nature of the scene.
