The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating the larceny of meat from a local business on Premier Boulevard Saturday.

Acting police Chief Gorton Williams said the larceny occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m.

The suspects involved stole various amounts of meat from the meat department. 

The suspects fled on foot behind the business located between Premier and Fourth Avenue.
