Juvenile Talks Club Ritz, Studio Days and “Back That Azz Up” [WATCH]
By Kya Kelly,
16 hours agoJuvenile is looking back at the moments that helped shape his career ahead of the No Limit & Cash Money Tour’s Cincinnati stop on November 14th.
The New Orleans rapper caught up with Don Juan Fasho to revisit Cincinnati’s iconic Club Ritz and share stories about his early days working with BG and Lil Wayne.
When asked who caused the most trouble in the studio, Juvenile had plenty to say. He admitted he had no problem telling his collaborators when he thought their music was “trash”. That honesty was part of the dynamic during those early recording sessions.
He also reflected on the unexpected success of “Back That Azz Up.” Juvenile says he never imagined the record would become the generational hit it is today.
He gave Mannie Fresh his credit, recognizing that the producer saw the song’s potential before its lasting impact became clear.
Catch Juvenile and Don Juan Fasho’s full conversation ahead of the No Limit & Cash Money Tour at Heritage Bank Center on November 14th.
