Taste of Nampa: The Tower Grill provides fresh food, prompt service, scenic views
NAMPA — Sometime in late January, sitting at the bar-top inside a downtown Boise restaurant led to a conversation about local breakfast spots with a flight instructor. While names weren’t exchanged, he spoke about places he liked to eat around the Treasure Valley. His strongest recommendation was The Tower Grill at Nampa Municipal Airport. It wasn’t just the fact you can watch planes take off and land as you eat. It was the fact the food and the service impressed him. Those qualities seem to make Nate Lindskoog, who owns The Tower Grill, the most proud. While Lindskoog couldn’t put his finger on one specific trait that made his restaurant special, as he looked from his seat in the center of the restaurant, he did point out a few things he loved about it. He spoke about the views through his windows. He listed the fact his place has made it nearly 10 years in an industry where new restaurants don’t often make it past the first year. He talked about how his restaurant survived the COVID-19 pandemic, and that his food is all homemade. “It’s a special spot,” Lindskoog said in a Feb. 17 interview with the Idaho Press.
