Before The Holidays, Shop For Gifts From Local Makers At Idaho Made In Downtown Boise
Potato soap is a real thing you can buy here. So is a sticker that celebrates proud dog moms, and there’s free candy waiting at the register. Every shelf holds work from Idaho artists and makers. The people behind the counter are often the artists themselves, which makes gift shopping feel a lot more personal.

Bowls Of Hand-Pulled Noodles Have Turned This Small Boise Spot Into A Lunch Line Favorite
Downtown Boise has plenty of places to grab a quick lunch, but one small room keeps drawing a line before the noon rush even peaks. People step out of offices, skip the sandwich shops, and wait patiently for a seat or a takeout bag. The reason is simple. Big bowls...

‘So good'? Or ‘worst service' at Boise's food hall? Either way, this vendor closed
At its core level, the restaurant business is relentlessly challenging. But hurdles can loom even higher for a small brand trying to expand to a distant land — like Boise. That appears to have been the case for Just Chicken , which shuttered recently at The Warehouse Food Hall , 370 S. 8th St. The concept, which specialized in chicken tenders and sandwiches, debuted there just over a year ago. Warehouse Food Hall owner Geronimo Hospitality Group confirmed the closure in a prepared statement. Just Chicken continues to operate at the Geronimo-owned Garage Food Hall in Indianapolis. “Just Chicken has been a valued partner,” the company wrote, “and we’re fortunate to continue that relationship in other markets. We appreciate the opportunity to have worked with their team at The Warehouse and wish them continued success. We’re now working with a local food truck operator on plans to bring a new concept into the space and look forward to sharing more details as those plans come together.” The prospect of a new concept at The Warehouse is exciting for food enthusiasts. Even if the transition is disappointing for Just Chicken. Founded in 2022, Just Chicken is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Launching

This Idaho German Deli Makes Its Own Sausages And Stocks Imported Goods Hard To Find Elsewhere
Fresh sausages get made in-house every single day at one family-owned deli. The lineup draws on recipes from Germany, Hungary, and Romania. That alone had me hooked. Then there’s the currywurst. It’s a newer addition, and it’s the kind of Berlin street food you rarely spot in Idaho.

This Boise restaurant has stayed open late for years. Not now - it just closed
In the mood for a moonlit fast-food run? Your choices in Boise just got a little slimmer. After a final night on Saturday, the longtime Jack in the Box at 7040 W. State St. has closed. No announcement was posted on the windows or doors Sunday, but the chain restaurant was empty and locked during normal business hours. The writing has been on the wall for months at that particular Jack in the Box, located near the intersection with Glenwood Street. Utah-based chain Mo’ Bettahs plans to take over and remodel the building, according to paperwork filed with the city of Boise. Permission was recently granted to demolish the interior of the 2,875-square-foot restaurant — “occupied previously by Jack in the Box,” the project description says. When contacted in September, a Mo’ Bettahs spokesperson did not confirm that the State Street location was coming — or offer any timeline. But as fans of the Hawaiian-style quick-service chain know, Mo’ Bettahs has expanded steadily into the Treasure Valley in recent years. And it’s certainly not averse to taking over old fast-food restaurants. In Boise, Mo’ Bettahs moved into a former Del Taco late last year at 1306 S. Broadway Ave. Mo’
