Local dessert shop Dad's Cookies celebrates downtown Fresno expansion
A local dessert shop has expanded to Downtown Fresno. Dad's Cookies celebrated its grand opening on Fulton Street on Saturday. People were invited to join the festivities at its location in the Garage. The father and daughter duo started the business during the pandemic in 2020. The founder, Lance Sanchez, was laid off and started the tasty new venture that's turned into a success. He says it's amazing to be able to expand the business in the area. "Being from Fresno, it's neat to see the growth of downtown starting to get a lot of people," Sanchez said. "That's why Dad's Cookies is here, we want to make it a kid-friendly environment." Dad's Cookies also offers coffee and other treats. The store will be open Tuesday through Sunday.
