Dolly Parton’s 57th Wedding Anniversary
RINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF)- 57 years ago today, Dolly Parton was married in Ringgold.
On May 30, 1966, Parton and her husband, Carl, were married at the 1st Baptist Church in Ringgold.
Last year a mural was dedicated to her at The Spot Creamery down the street.
Fans from all around come to see the Dolly Parton mural.
A local Dolly fan, Aubrey Babb, said, “I think Dolly is a great role model. And it’s great to have her here because everybody can see that she’s a great example of what we should be.”
Aubrey said her favorite Dolly song was “Jolene.”
