Margaret Stockburger Steps Down as Ringgold’s Girls Basketball Coach
Ringgold High School Principal J.R. Jones and Athletic Director Lee Shell, announced Tuesday that coach Margaret Stockburger will be stepping down as the head coach of the Lady Tigers basketball program. Coach Stockburger earned her 500th win this past season in the region 6 AAA tournament and leaves a solid legacy as a basketball coach in the state of Georgia. Mr. Jones stated, “We have been truly blessed to have Coach Stockburger lead our women’s basketball program the past few years. Coach Stockburger is a legitimate legend in the field of coaching.”
Coach Shell stated, “Coach Stockburger not only made an impact on the court, she made an impact on each young lady she coached.”
Coach Stockburger will remain on staff as an assistant athletic director.
Stockburger also served as the head coach at Northwest Whitfield, leading the Lady Bruins to the state finals in 2010.
