Fairfield County resident Erin Heneghan, age 47, of Newtown, was seriously injured on Monday, Nov. 20, around 9 a.m. in Easton in the area of Sherwood Drive. Following the incident, a preliminary investigation determined that the pickup truck had been driving north on Route 59 when a large deer entered the road from the right and was struck by the vehicle, according to Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A 33-year-old man was in stable condition after being shot early Sunday morning in Bridgeport, according to police. The man was shot at about 2:25 a.m. at Krauszer’s Food Store, according to officers. He had been shot in the leg and torso.
