Much warmer to finish the weekend

RICHMOND, Va. -- Skies will be variably cloudy overnight and it will be milder with lows in the mid 50s.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and much warmer, with most locations away from the coast getting into the low and mid 80s. This will begin a stretch of very warm weather this coming week. Highs are expected to be in the upper 80s Monday and Tuesday, with a few locations potentially touching 90. There will be plenty of sunshine, although an approaching front may trigger a few scattered showers and thunderstorms by Tuesday evening.

Wednesday and Thursday won't be quite as warm, but highs will be above average in the low and mid 80s. At this point Wednesday looks dry, but a few isolated storms may develop Thursday afternoon.

We'll have a mix of sun and clouds Friday and Saturday, with the possibility of a few showers and thunderstorms each afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the low and mid 80s.
