RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities across the Central Virginia region are asking the community to share any information they can as they investigate shootings resulting in five juveniles shot and three people dead in the past week.
The incidents spanned over the course of six days, from Saturday, April 6 through Thursday, April 11.
The following incidents have been ordered by area rather than time period:
Chesterfield County
A 15-year-old continues to recover after they were shot near Virginia State University’s campus during the early morning hours on Wednesday, April 10. The Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the report of a shooting on the 3300 block of Boisseau Street at 12:10 a.m.
Officers found several cars had been hit by gunfire on the 21000 block of Second Avenue. The teen’s gunshot wound was considered non-life-threatening, but was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The next day, authorities say a 16-year-old was shot in the Chester area during the evening on Thursday, April 11. Chesterfield police officers responded to the 15100 block of Broadwater Way at around 5:37 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the male teenager was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The 17-year-old’s injuries have been considered non-life-threatening. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. A. Darnell of Richmond Police at 804-646-3927.
Hanover County
Hanover County Sheriff Officials have called on the community as their investigation into a deadly shooting at a “large party” continues.
At 10:46 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, deputies received a complaint of a large party and were dispatched to the intersection of McClellan Road and Agape Lane — and while in route, authorities also received a report of a shooting at the same location.
Upon arrival, officials found multiple people surrounding the juvenile and performing CPR, after which authorities then took over until Hanover Fire and EMS arrived. The juvenile was later pronounced at dead at the scene at about 11:25 p.m.
Here's the reality of it and the truth. I would wager that over 75% of the shooters are the product of single parent (female led) households. That is a fact. I lived it. It's been proven over and over again that these modern females can't handle, connect with, understand let alone discipline these "Young Men".
Doggone Right

The names of all perps, no matter the age should be released to the public. If they can do the crime and receive the punishment then we should know who they are no matter the age of the perp. You lose all your rights when you become a felon. If you're going to take all the rights away from an adult and ruin their life before they're found guilty then why should it be any different for the young perp. Most of them stay in kiddy jail til their 18. A perpetrator is a perpetrator no matter their age and their name does get ruined but doesn't an innocent man have more to lose than an innocent boy?
