REGIONAL -- Benton County Fire Protection #2 said doppler radar is tracking high wind gusts and pea-sized hail in most of our regions.

According to the National Weather Service as of 2:17 p.m., wind gusts up to 40 mph have the potential to knock down tree limbs and/or move unsecured object around. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible as well.

The locations impacted are:

Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, Hermiston, Sunnyside, Prosser, West Richland, Grandview, Umatilla, Benton City, Mabton, Stanfield, Irrigon, Echo, Plymouth, Badger, Island View, Paterson, Satus, and Highland.

It's suggested to find shelter indoors as conditions could worsen; these conditions have the possibility to produce weak funnels clouds which are harmless but still have the potential to touch down, creating over 50 mph winds.

Thunderstorms were reported by the NWS at 3:39 p.m. and are expected to last through 4:30 p.m.

The NWS said "At 338 PM PDT, trained weather spotters reported a cluster of thunderstorms along a line extending from Hanford Reservation to near Milton-Freewater. Movement was northeast at 30 mph."

Locations impacted include:

Walla Walla, Connell, Dayton, Waitsburg, Mesa, Prescott, Kahlotus, Starbuck, Dixie, Huntsville, Snake River, Hanford Reservation, Delaney, Pleasant View, Eltopia, Turner, Garrett, Basin City, Ayer, and Eureka.
