Mike and Fariel Winn will oversee the daily goings-on at Shandin Hills, the public golf course in San Bernardino, Calif., beginning June 1. Last week, San Bernardino City Council unanimously approved the five-year agreement. Per the pact, the city will use revenues generated by Shandin Hills to pay Local Golf Management, the Winns’ company, a flat monthly rate of $15,000 to run the 18-hole course, 18,500-sq.-ft. clubhouse/banquet hall, and maintenance facility. “Our intention is to get the golf course in way better shape,” says Mike Winn, “and start fixing up cosmetic stuff that’s been let go for a while, try to make the golf course mirror Arrowhead.”

This is the first time these players have been recognized for their performances on the court and in the classroom. The five players are Nina Davis and Emma Beaver from Women's Lacrosse, Hannah Jugar and Andrea York from Women's Golf, and Tori Zielinski from Women's Water Polo.
