Two people were found dead along a trail in Fairfax County, Virginia Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Fairfax County Police officers are on the scene in the 2300 block of Players Pond Lane in Reston investigating the deaths.

Preliminarily, police believe this was a domestic-related murder-suicide.

A weapon was recovered on the scene.

Police said there is no threat to the public.

An investigation is underway.
