Pedestrian killed in crash involving Sumter County patrol vehicle identified
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities say a pedestrian has died along a Sumter County highway after being struck by a patrol vehicle before dawn on Friday. Master Trooper William Bennett with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened just before 5:30 a.m. on U.S. 521 (Camden Highway) near Beckwood Road.
Motorcyclist killed Saturday in Kershaw County crash identified
KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities have identified a person who died following a motorcycle crash in Kershaw County on Saturday morning. Lance Corporal Brittany Glover with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened on S.C. 903 (McBee Highway) at Ellis Road, roughly eight miles outside of Bethune.
