YOKUTS VALLEY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The four-year-old boy who drowned in a pond in Yokuts Valley earlier this month has been named in an online fundraiser.

The child was identified in the fundraiser as four-year-old Ronald Walker Jr., the child of Ronald Walker Sr.

According to the verified fundraiser, the boy’s father had driven up to Yokuts Valley on April 1 to let family members know about the death of a relative. While both Ronald Walker Sr. and Ronald Walker Jr. were in Yokuts Valley, the family says the four-year-old wandered off and out of sight. A search by family members quickly ensued to find the missing child.

Officials say just 10 minutes later, the boy’s father discovered the body of the four-year-old at the bottom of a pond on the property. Life-saving efforts began in an attempt to revive and save the child and 911 was called for help.

Deputies say the call came in around 11:40 a.m. on April 1, and dispatch directed the family to meet the ambulance at Highway 180 and Piedra Road. The family arrived and EMS continued CPR efforts on their way to the hospital in Reedley. However, the boy was later pronounced dead.
