SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - 4:18 P.M. UPDATE - Caltrans District 2 reports that Interstate 5 has reopened to all traffic after being closed for more than 10 hours due to whiteout conditions.
Traffic had been stopped at the Fawndale exit for northbound traffic and at Edgewood in Siskiyou County for southbound traffic due to the winter weather conditions.
FINAL 3:50 P.M.: Northbound I-5 is now OPEN at Fawndale, 10 miles north of Redding, following a closure due to winter weather conditions.

Highway 3 remains closed in Trinity County at Scott Mountain for winter weather.
Highway 36 remains closed from Platina to the intersection with Highway 3.
