Stingers Will Bring back the Manager of the Year
The Willmar Stingers Baseball Club of the Northwoods League, announce that Freddy Smith will return as manager for his third season in Willmar. The Willmar Stingers won many accolades from the 2023 Northwoods League campaign. They had the Manager of the Year, five NWL All-Stars and four players selected as post-season All-Stars. The combination of these players led to another record-breaking season under Smith.

Women's Soccer Beats Sacred Heart on Senior Day
The Eagles held on to beat Sacred Heart 3-2 in a senior day win that saw a weather delay just before kickoff, a flurry of goals, and an all-time performance by Aislin Streicek. Two of the Eagle's three goals came from Streicek, who recorded an assist on Sophia Lowenberg's goal, and the junior transfer also picked up a yellow card. Princeton football wins barnburner versus Willmar
In a wild back and forth contest, the Princeton football team held on, knocking off Willmar 39-38 on Friday night at John Harvey Field. The Tigers needed a key stop on a Cardinals two-point conversion with time winding down to preserve their lead. After getting the stop, Princeton converted on a couple crucial first downs to drain the clock and knock off Willmar. Eli Gibbs finished with four total touchdowns, joined by Ben Ostendorf, who started the game with a pick-six. Princeton improved to 3-0 while dropping the Cardinals to 1-2. The Tigers return to action on Friday, Sept. 22, where they will head to Zimmerman to take on the Thunder.
