Good Food For Less Than $10? This Allen Resident Is Mapping It
A $15 salad or a $20 burger has sadly become the norm. But Jay Park thinks affordable meals are still out there. The challenge is knowing where to find them. After being laid off from a major technology company, where he spent 18 years and led its AI task force, the Allen resident turned his attention to a problem he had noticed for some time: finding a genuinely good meal for less than $10. That search became CheapFoodMap.com , a free, crowdsourced map of affordable dishes at independent restaurants across the country. New York Times says D-FW barbecue spot sells one of the best Thanksgiving turkeys
For years, I've considered the Greenberg Smoked Turkey from Tyler to be the tastiest and easiest Thanksgiving turkey — beloved in my house because it comes fully cooked, which means you're neither shoving your hands inside the carcass nor frying it in oil in a potentially dangerous Thanksgiving Day stunt. Has a better version than Greenberg been right under my nose in Dallas for years?
