Ralston finishes strong at UNC Health Championship with final round 67

RALEIGH, N.C. — Spencer Ralston saved his best for last on Sunday at the Korn Ferry UNC Health Championship tournament.

Ralston turned in the second-lowest round of the day, firing a 3-under 67 to close out the tournament with a 5-under overall 275 for the four-day event. His hot round moved him up 17 spots on the leader board into a tie for 23rd.

The Gainesville native recorded five birdies, including going 3-under on the back-nine, to go with two bogeys. After birdies on a pair of Par 4s at Nos. 4 and 5, he bogeyed the Par 4 7th and the Par 5 8th to fall back to 2-under for the tournament.

He caught fire on the back-nine with birdies on Nos. 10 and 11 and the Par 3 17th to go with six pars.

Jorge Fernández Valdés of Argentina won the tournament after beating former Georgia standout Trent Phillips on the first playoff hole. Both golfers finished at 13-under 267.
