The votes are in — more than 22,000 to be exact! — and later this month, winners will be crowned at the inaugural NJ.com High School Game Changers Sports Awards.
We will unveil the first-place winners in each category at the live awards show on Sunday, June 25 at 3 p.m. at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway. The event is free to attend and open to finalists, as well as their coaches, teachers, parents, friends and family members.
If you are a finalist but have not received information about how to register and claim your free tickets, please email our Events Manager Kristen Ligas at kligas@njadvancemedia.com.
Congratulatory program ads are available for purchase until June 12. Click here to place an order.
Finalists will enjoy a red-carpet experience where they will have professional photos taken. There also will be a live DJ, games, giveaways, and more. Each finalist in attendance receives a special swag bag and commemorative award.
The event is hosted by Chuck Lott, who has over 15 years of hosting experience, including for the New York Jets, Charlotte Hornets, and various college and high school national championships broadcasted on ESPN.
The NJ High School Game Changers Sports Awards celebrate students who are making a difference on their teams, in their schools and in their communities.
There are 24 award categories, 18 fully nominated and voted on by the public. Six award winners will be chosen by our high school sports reporters.
