Two people were arrested after Adams County deputies found a U-Haul truck in Walmart's parking lot in Quincy around 8:30 Monday morning that they believe is associated with several criminal trespass cases from this past weekend along with a home burglary, multiple thefts, and additional criminal activity in Adams County.
The driver of the U-Haul, Randall S. Taylor, 38, of Springfield, Ill., was taken into custody for an outstanding failure to appear- theft warrant out of Sangamon County, along with new local charges:
- Burglary
- Obstructing identification
- Possession of stolen property
- Possession of burglary tools
A passenger, Danielle R. Werner, 32, who is homeless, was arrested on two charges:
- Criminal trespass to property
- Possession of stolen property
Both are in the Adams County Jail on no-bond warrants with additional charges pending, and both awaiting their first court appearance.
Randall is also currently on mandatory supervised release (parole) from IDOC for burglary.
