NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- The NYPD released images Thursday of a man wanted for beating up a woman on an E train in Queens—just the latest act of random violence on the subway line in recent days.
Word of the unprovoked attack comes just hours after cops put out video of another suspect wanted for sucker-punching a 69-year-old woman on an E train at Queens Plaza last Friday. And it comes a day after a third man was charged with attempted murder for pushing a 35-year-old designer into an E train on the Upper East Side on Sunday, leaving her "instantly paralyzed."
In the latest assault, a 52-year-old woman was riding a southbound E train approaching Queens Plaza station in Long Island City when a man, believed to be in his 30s, came up and told her to "look somewhere else."
Moments later he attacked, repeatedly punching her in the head, according to police.
The man got off the train at the Queens Plaza stop, but a surveillance camera captured images of him before he fled the station, police said.
The victim got off the train at the Court Square station and was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
Her injuries are considered non-life-threatening, according to police.
