NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- The NYPD released images Thursday of the suspect wanted for shooting and wounding a 22-year-old officer in Queens on Wednesday afternoon.

Three photos from police show the suspect, while a fourth depicts a tattoo of the name "Jocelyn" on his left hand.

The NYPD is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the shooter's arrest and conviction.

Police believe the suspect is the gunman who shot an NYPD officer in the leg at police responded to an altercation on an MTA bus in Jamaica Center around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday.

The MTA bus driver had flagged the officers down at 161st Street and Jamaica Avenue because two men were fighting over a bus seat, police said.

One of the men pushed past the officers and ran off. Cops caught up to him a block away, where he pulled a gun and shot one officer in the right hip.

The wounded officer's partner fired twice. It's unclear if the gunman was struck before he fled the scene.

One man was taken into custody and questioned overnight as the search for the shooter continued.

The officer was transported to Jamaica Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

Mayor Eric Adams visited with the officer and his parents. During a news conference, Adams told reporters that the mother whispered in his ear.

"She stated, 'I recalled at the graduation how you talked about your mother exhaled for the first time after you retired,'" the mayor said. "She's still holding her breath."

The rookie cop was shot exactly three months to the day after starting his NYPD career at the 103rd Precinct, which covers Jamaica. His father is an NYPD detective.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cop Shot hotline at 1-800-COP- SHOT (1-800-267-7468).
