Man, 81, punched in face, robbed of $150 on Queens street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- An 81-year-old man was punched in the face and robbed in broad daylight on a Queens street, police said Monday as they released surveillance images of his suspected attacker.

The victim was walking on Foam Place, near Central Avenue, in Far Rockaway on the afternoon of Feb. 28 when he was assaulted by another man, police said.

His attacker stormed up at 12:30 p.m. and slugged him in the face unprovoked.

The thief then stole $150 from him and fled on Foam Place, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his face.
