Omaha transfer makes unofficial visit to Nebraska
A Nebraska-Omaha transfer took an unofficial visit to Nebraska on Thursday. Frankie Fidler declared for the NBA draft on March 20 but is maintaining his college eligibility through the portal. The Bellevue, Nebraska native played for the Mavericks for three seasons, appearing in 93 games. This season, Fiddler started in 33 games and averaged 20.1 points per game, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. Nebraska is not the only school interested in the prospect’s services; earlier in the week, Fidler visited Creighton. Husker guard Sam Hoiberg documented Fidler’s visit to Nebraska on social media. Gregg Popovich jokes about Devin Vassell after Spurs win over Jazz
For the entire season, Victor Wembanyama has been the center of attention in regard to the San Antonio Spurs. There have been more eyes on San Antonio this year than since the Big 3 of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili ruled the Spurs organization. And while Wembanyama is the reason for that, Devin Vassell has taken advantage. The fourth-year wing has been having a very impressive season, and he’s been getting more credit for it since more people are tuning in. His latest great showing came against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, as the Spurs picked up a...
Buzz Williams has been in contact with former Colorado guard who entered the transfer portal
Texas A&M’s 2023-2024 season ended at the hands of the No. 1-seed Houston Cougars in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, as senior forward Andersson Garcia’s incredible game-tying 3-pointer wasn’t enough to propel the Aggies to an overtime win. Going into the offseason, what head Buzz Williams needs to add through the transfer portal became more apparent after the loss to the Cougars, as Houston shooting guard Emanuel Sharp hit seven 3-pointers for 30 points, the type of player the Aggies have yet add that can be relied on to hit deep shots in critical moments down the stretch. While plenty...

Billy Donovan likens Tyrese Haliburton to Bulls plan for Lonzo Ball
The Chicago Bulls absolutely dominated the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, taking them down in a 125-99 win. It was the first time any team had held the Pacers under 100 points all year, as the Bulls locked in on the defensive end of the court. A big part of their success was how they mitigated the effectiveness of Tyrese Haliburton.
Titans plan to use Calvin Ridley all over formation
The Tennessee Titans have long been a run-first offense. Before the arrival of A.J. Brown and subsequently DeAndre Hopkins, Titans fans rarely saw elite receivers suit up for their favorite team. Now, the Titans are in the fortunate position of having two highly-touted playmakers at wide receiver: The aforementioned Hopkins,...
Everything Brad Brownell and Clemson players said after beating Arizona
It’s on to the Elite Eight for the Clemson men’s basketball team, which will face Alabama in the NCAA Tournament Saturday in Los Angeles after the Tigers’ 77-72 victory over Arizona at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday. Clemson got 35 points combined from seniors Chase Hunter and PJ Hall, and they held Arizona to just 37 percent shooting from the field. Caleb Love, the Pac-12 Player of the Year, was held to 13 points. The Tigers have now defeated a No. 3 seed and a No. 2 seed, in addition to their first-round tournament victory over Mountain West champion New Mexico. Clemson will have...
Only one person picked Diamond Heels to beat Wake Forest
Two of the ACC’s premier baseball programs will face off this weekend in Winston-Salem, NC. The 14th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels (22-4, 7-2 ACC), winners of their past six games, will play the Preseason Number One Wake Forest Demon Deacons (17-7, 4-5). 12th-ranked Wake Forest has not lived up to its preseason hype, just fourth in the Atlantic Division and already five losses away from equaling its 2023 loss total. UNC is second in the Coastal Division, largely due to nine of its regular hitters mashing over .300. Despite both teams’ trajectory already this year, the Demon Deacons are projected by all D1Baseball...

Rutgers football: What new player has impressed Kirk Ciarrocca in practice this week?
PISCATAWAY, N.J. — One Rutgers football player has looked better than advertising according to offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca. An addition to the Rutgers offense out of the transfer portal, Dymere Miller might be the playmaker that the Scarlet Knights desperately need. Miller joined Rutgers in the transfer portal in December with one year of eligibility left. Last season in the FCS, he led Monmouth with 90 catches for 1,295 yards and nine touchdowns. He had some impressive performances including 10 catches for 78 yards in the season opener against FAU. Out of the portal, Miller was offer by UConn, FAU, Pittsburgh and...

Former Tennessee Titans and new Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Kristian Fulton may or may not have taken a shot at his former team on social media on Thursday night. We say “may or may not have” because, per ESPN’s Turron Davenport, Fulton’s Instagram account was hacked when responding to a fan about whether or not Tennessee is a winning organization.

Penn State NFL draft prospect stock watch: Hunter Nourzad
Every year, there are players who start the NFL draft season flying completely under the media’s radar. Sometimes it’s because they play at a small school, other times it’s because they don’t play a premium position. It can even be due to a late breakout season that gets overlooked. For Penn State center Hunter Nourzad, he falls into a combination of categories. He started his college career at Cornell of all places, playing mostly left and right tackle before transferring to Penn State. He transitioned to an interior lineman, playing over 1,000 snaps at guard and center combined. Even after playing very...

2024 NFL mock draft: Seahawks go best player available in 3-round projections
The Seahawks still have a lot of work to do if they’re going to catch up with the true contenders around the league. Most of all, that will require a good haul of prospects in the 2024 NFL draft. If they can pull it off, that would make three-straight strong draft classes by Seattle for the first time since the formative Legion of Boom years in 2010-2012.

The New York Giants made a big splash early in free agency, acquiring edge rusher Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers. The trade was contingent on the Giants signing Burns to a new contract, which they did, agreeing to a five-year, $141 million deal. That’s a whole lot of money...

Report: Giants will host QB Drake Maye for workout
The New York Giants haven’t made a secret of looking at top quarterback prospects, and this week is no different. Head coach Brian Daboll attended the University of Washington pro day to see Michael Penix. The Giants also had a presence at the University of North Carolina, but the perception is that Penix has been prioritized over UNC QB Drake Maye.
