A man was arrested in Utah after allegedly entering a home without permission, causing significant damage, and assaulting a woman as he claimed he was God.

Parker Syddall, 24, was booked into the Utah County Jail. He faces a range of charges, including second-degree felony burglary, second-degree felony kidnapping, and misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief, assault, and interference with a police officer.

According to police, the incident occurred on May 27 at a residence near the area of 300 East and 500 North in Provo.

Upon arrival, officers found a man, identified as Syddall, inside the house wearing only his underwear. A female sitting next to him silently mouthed the words "Help me," prompting the officers to enter the residence.

The officers discovered a large hole in the wall with a laptop on the ground nearby, according to a probable cause statement.

"I placed Parker into handcuffs who then proceeded to fight with officers and did not follow our commands when told to stop," the affidavit states.

During the struggle with police officers, Syddall allegedly collided with the wall, creating another hole. Additional officers were called for help where they were able to safely arrest Syddall.

A probable cause statement revealed that Parker had entered the residence without any known connection to the residents. Witnesses reported that he had been shouting and claiming to be God.

"They had heard people screaming and making a commotion fifteen minutes prior to Parker walking into the house," according to the affidavit.

The victims of the home locked themselves in a back bedroom and called 911, stating that they did not know Syddall.

The investigation remained ongoing as authorities worked to determine a motive.
