Augustana Students Present at State Water Conference
ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 8, 2024) — Erik Bergren, an Economics, Public Health major from Geneseo, Illinois (61254), was one of three Augustana College students to present research at the Illinois Section of the American Water Association industry conference in Peoria on April 17. Together with Augustana and City of Rock Island representatives, they presented research on the water-line inventory project.

City of Sterling to Light the Night in honor of fallen firefighters
STERLING, Ill. (KWQC) - The City of Sterling will host a Light the Night event to honor fallen firefighters. During the event on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday May 5, everyone is asked to light up the night in red to honor fallen firefighters, and especially Sterling Fire Department’s Garret Ramos, event organizers said.
