Princeton track and field sees improvement after Tuesday meet

After both the boys and girls teams finished with less than 60 points each in a Mississippi 8 meet against Big Lake, Becker and Zimmerman on Tuesday, April 9, the Tigers rebounded for a pair of second-place finishes against Big Lake and Sauk Rapids-Rice on Thursday, April 11, at Princeton High School. The Princeton boys A relay team finished first in the 4x800 meter relay on Thursday.

Thursday’s event winners for the Princeton boys were Devon Bragg (110-meter hurdles), Connor Quigley (800-meter run), Levi Sanderson (3,200-meter run), Cadyn Miller (pole vault) and Cameron Adams (discus throw). Event winners for the Princeton girls were Lillian Koenig (100-meter hurdles), Elsa Wogen (3,200-meter run) and Kyleigh Noble (high jump). The boys team finished with 86 points behind the Storm, which finished with 112. The girls team finished second with 82 points behind the Storm, which finished first with 98.5 points.

On Tuesday, April 9, at Big Lake High School, the Tigers boys team finished third with 51 points, while the girls team finished fourth with 45.66 points. Event winners for the boys were Adams (discus) and Bragg (triple jump). Event winners for the girls were Koenig (100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles) and Noble (high jump).

The Tigers compete in the Big Lake Varsity Invite on Thursday, April 25, at 4 p.m. at Big Lake High School. Princeton hosts the Chuck Johnson Invitational on Thursday, May 2, at 4 p.m. at Princeton High School.
