The killer, who goes by Baby K, is being charged as an adult in the May 1 attack on the bus, authorities in Prince George's County said. Baby K and two other suspects got on the bus, flashed a handgun and tried to shoot a victim multiple times, police said.

The weapon malfunctioned, though, and ammunition was recovered from the bus.

Baby K has also apparently been linked to the killing of 23-year-old Kaijah McCoy in Washington DC, NBC says. McCoy's younger sister was arrested in the school bus attack, the outlet said.

In the school bus attack, Baby K is charged as an adult with attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, assault, firearms offenses and additional offenses. Charges in the homicide were not immediately announced.

Prince George’s County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest and indictment. The U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of “Baby K”.
